Securing HP NonStop Servers in an Open Systems World: TCP/IP, OSS and SQL by XYPRO

Securing HP NonStop Servers in an Open Systems World: TCP/IP, OSS and SQL This is the second book in the series by XYPRO, and once again they have put a lot of hard work into compiling a vast amount of information on this topic. I actually have not gotten through it all yet! The “Changes to Safeguard since G06.21″ chapter is a great summary and well needed reference. XYPRO’s decision to recruit experts to contribute to sections such as SQL and OSS is also a great idea, and appears to have paid off.

HP NonStop Server Security: A Practical Handbook by XYPRO

Category: NonStop Bookssite admin @ 11:19 pm

HP NonStop Server Security: A Practical Handbook (HP Technologies) This is the first book in the XYPRO series, and the second book to ever be written about Security on the NonStop platform (but the first ever commercially available). There are a few items that some NonStop Security experts do not agree with (e.g. $CMON) but you do have to congratulate XYPRO on a great effort for compiling all this information.

Audit, Control, and Security of the TANDEM NonStop Systems by Ernst & Young

Category: NonStop Bookssite admin @ 11:18 pm

Tandem Security Book COver This is the first actual book about NonStop that I ever saw. It was only available directly from Ernst & Young and was not commercially available. The original standard for NonStop Security, it is unfortunate that E&Y never continued to update this book. Although the book is now out of date (pre S series content) , it is still a good overall intro and has good background info for those focused on NonStop security.
